Day 15 – 21 · one-glance sheet

Week 3

Feeding a lot, crying more than last week. Both are on schedule.

Just these three, this week

  1. 1
Feed on demand, 8+ times a day
Stirring and hands to mouth come before crying.
  2. 2
Back to sleep, in your room
Firm flat surface, nothing loose in the cot.
  3. 3
    Count wet diapers, not hours
Six or more heavy ones a day means enough milk.

Trust the worry. None of this is an overreaction.

  • A temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, rectally, in a baby under 3 months.
  • Fewer than six wet diapers in a day, or refusing several feeds in a row.
  • Fast breathing, grunting, or the skin pulling in under or between the ribs with each breath.
  • Floppy, unusually hard to wake, or a cry that sounds nothing like theirs.
  • Forceful vomiting after every feed, or skin and the whites of the eyes turning more yellow.
