Milestone screening continues; this is also when autism screening is routinely offered.

Trust the worry. None of this is an overreaction.

No two-word phrases by 24 months, or speech that's very hard for you to understand by 30 months.
Loss of a skill they used to have — words, play, or social interaction — at any age.
Little interest in other children, or not responding to their name, by 24 months.
A tantrum that includes breath-holding to the point of fainting, or self-injury.
Any fever above 104°F (40°C), or a fever lasting more than a couple of days.
